Zen Mountain Earrings
A dramatic pair of stunning lampwork beads from Carol Holaday (CarolHoladay.com) stand together with beautiful handmade Hill Tribe Silver beads above and below. Each of these lampwork beads are unique yet all are created using only ivory & black glass plus silver leaf. It’s amazing to see the colors she creates in these beads.....my photos don’t do them justice, they’re more splendid in real life! The earwires are handmade sterling silver also. Silver can be used as a mirror to the soul and help you see yourself from the outside without judgement. Hill Tribe silver is pure, fine silver (.999) produced under fair trade regulations by a group of Karen Hill Tribe villagers in Northern Thailand. The Karen silversmiths are taught to carefully handcraft each design from scratch, using this high-content silver. They learn to give each design a unique appearance only seen in their own creations and they skillfully melt, pour, mold and stamp their beads by hand. They have passed down their silver work skills and traditions and today, each handmade ornament is a unique masterpiece that represents centuries of Karen culture and art. Often, the jewelry is engraved with plant, animal, or geometric designs, symbolizing their direct connection to their land and water. Choosing Karen silver is much more than buying jewelry of rare distinction. Your purchase also helps preserve the timeless culture, art, religion, and language of the gentle Karen people. Because it is handcrafted each bead and piece is distinct and slightly different. What a winning combination! The first pair has more brown and sage green/grey tones and the second pair is more of a taupe color with some sage green/grey. Please specify which pair you would like in an email. Length-3/4 inch drop.
