Nalu Earrings

What a unique and stunning pair of hand forged Silver Spiral earrings hanging from sterling Silver earwires. These are a heavier gauge silver and have a great earthy bohemian feel to them. After hand forming and hammering them I've given them an antique patina for an aged feel. Nalu means "wave" in Hawaiian and these fun earrings remind me of the curl of the powerful ocean waves.

Many of the symbols we take for granted today as static signs of religious or secular life were created long ago, representations of the movements of earth and heaven, symbols of the seasons, and representations of cosmic and earthly deities. Since ancient times the spiral design has been the symbol of the goddess, the womb, fertility, continual change, and the evolution of the universe.
