*SOLD* Desert Sky Earrings
Visions of an African sky come to mind with these teal blue Kazuri beads with accents of tiny Hill Tribe Silver beads and sterling silver leverback earwires. The silver and teal blue is an exquisite combination. Silver can be used as a mirror to the soul and help you see yourself from the outside without judgement. It is used often with gemstones because it’s able to both attract and retain those qualities that are emitted by the stone and provides a steadying influence for the jewel. The colorful Kazuri ceramic beads are created by African women in a workshop located at the base of the Ngong Hills in Kenya from Mt. Kenya clay. What began as a social cause to help a few women in Kenya has grown into an entire jewelry business, employing more than 80 women and helping countless local families escape poverty. Each ceramic bead is carefully polished, fired, painted and polished again. the result is Kazuri, which means small and beautiful in Swahili. What amazingly beautiful beads and an opportunity for each of us to make a difference on the planet. Length--1 inch drop.
